Yes! Career training for high-demand, well-paying professions.
As our county continues to grow, so does the demand for nurses, computer technicians, welders and other professions that require college degrees and career training. The bond referendum – developed by residents from all walks of life – will allow Grayson College to grow its highly-regarded nursing program and expand instructional and training space for our next generation of entrepreneurs and students interested in many in-demand, high-paying careers.

Yes! New instructional space & housing to manage our growth.
The demands on Grayson College have increased over the past decade. The $456.5 million bond referendum will pay for a new main campus health sciences building, a new Career Technical Center, a new Industrial Technology Education facility on the South Campus, a new main campus residence hall, modern science and lab space, and much-needed instructional facilities for academic and career training programs. These are needed to keep the college as a premier higher learning institutions. See the bottom of this page for more details.

Yes! Improved safety & security for our students & employees.
The Grayson College Board of Trustees has always made the safety and security of their students, professors, and staff a top priority. With your Yes vote on May 4, we can continue to protect students and employees on every campus with a new security and police facility, additional security measures and new, state-of-the-art technology to provide a high level of safety.

Yes! Basic maintenance, updates & upkeep for aging facilities.
Grayson College was established more than five decades ago and many of the facilities on its three campuses need basic maintenance and updates. These improvements include modern technology, HVAC and roof repairs, additional fiber, modern security systems, physical plant updates, additional parking, and circulation enhancements to improve the safety and walkability of the campus.

Yes! Strengthen Grayson College with NO propery tax rate increase.
Thanks to a Board of Trustees that continues to closely monitor spending and find innovative ways to save tax dollars, the 2024 bond referendum will not result in a property tax rate increase. In fact, our tax rate will be 15% lower than it was in 2019.
